In This Lesson

In this lesson, you will look at where you are right now on your self-love journey. You’ll reflect on your self-awareness, self-acceptance, and self-compassion, and also think about where you want to go next. To help with this, you’ll complete some exercises and answer questions designed to help you learn more about yourself. Try to answer as honestly as you can, since this will help you move forward on your self-love journey.

*Please have a notebook and pen available. It is recommended that you maintain this journal throughout the workshop. The following definitions are important for your understanding:

Self-love: Regard for one’s well-being and happiness.

Self-esteem: Confidence in one’s own worth or abilities; self-respect.

Self Acceptance: The unconditional embrace of all parts of oneself—strengths, weaknesses, flaws, and limitations—without judgment or need for external validation

Self Awareness: Conscious knowledge of one's own character, feelings, motives, and desires.

LET’S BEGIN

  • How would you describe your current relationship with yourself?

In your journal, write a detailed explanation. Think about the language you use when talking to yourself, whether it is compassionate and supportive or critical. Reflect on your thought patterns, your level of self-criticism, your consistency in keeping personal commitments, and how you practice self-care.
